Flyers, Couturier agree to two-year extension

The Philadelphia Flyers have agreed to a two-year extension with forward Sean Couturier, general manager Paul Holmgren announced Saturday.

In 46 games with the Flyers last season, the 20-year-old recorded four goals and 15 assists. During the lockout, Couturier played with Philadelphia’s AHL affiliate, the
Adirondack Phantoms, racking up 28 points in 31 games.

The eighth overall selection in the 2011 NHL draft, Couturier has 17 goals and 25 assists with a plus-10 rating in two seasons with Philadelphia.
