The Philadelphia Flyers announced on Saturday that they have officially released the jerseys they plan to wear at their 2017 Coors Light Stadium Series outdoor game.
The Flyers are set to take on the Pittsburgh Penguins in an outdoor game at Heinz Field on Saturday, Feb. 25, 2017. In this centennial season celebration for the league, these two rivals will also be celebrating their 50 years of existence.
The jersey is predominantly black with an orange stripe running across each arm and along the bottom. On the back, the name plate is coloured in orange, similar in style to the home and away jerseys they wear this season.
The Flyers plan to wear these new jerseys for more than one game. On March 15, they will don the new look against the Penguins again.
Pittsburgh unveiled its Stadium Series jerseys at the end of November.
