The Philadelphia Flyers will be without veteran forward Vincent Lecavalier for two weeks due to a lower-body injury, the team announced Monday.
Lecavalier appeared to have suffered the injury to his left foot after blocking a shot from teammate Mark Streit in the first period. Despite the apparent injury, Lecavalier played 16:10 in the Flyers’ 4-3 shootout loss to the Montreal Canadiens, but was reportedly seen walking gingerly in a boot after the game.
Lecavalier had appeared in the first three games of the season for the Flyers, recording a goal and two assists while averaging 15:37 of ice time.
