Edmonton’s Rogers Place isn’t scheduled to open until fall of 2016, but construction is well underway.

Members of the media were invited on a tour of the construction site Tuesday and Rogers Place released new photos of the progress.

“Edmonton is a strong northern city. It’s only fitting that we build our brand around this symbol,” Bob Nicholson, CEO and vice chairman of the Oilers Entertainment Group, said at a event earlier this month. “And hockey is our sport…This is going to be a place that people want to come to. Create memories with families and friends. We should be proud.”

If you’ve got plenty of time to spare — like, a lot of time — you can watch a live feed of the construction process for the Oilers’ new home.
