Brooks Laich scored 12 seconds into overtime to get the Kings a 3-2 win over the Golden Knights.

The Vegas Golden Knights put on a show Tuesday night as they officially made their home pre-season debut.

Plenty of fans came out to support the city’s brand new team in its first home effort.

And once the puck dropped, it didn’t take them long to embrace hockey in Vegas.

Cody Eakin rewarded the Vegas faithful, scoring the franchise’s first-ever goal on home ice less than four minutes into the matchup.

Fans even got a taste of overtime.

Although that ended quickly, thanks to the game-winning goal from Brooks Laich just 12 seconds into the extra period to claim a 3-2 victory.

Next up, the Golden Knights will host the Avalanche on Wednesday night.

They’ll make their regular season home debut on Oct. 10 against the Coyotes.
