PM Justin Trudeau responds to Subban’s call for carolling

P.K. Subban responds to the news that a group in Montreal wants to start pronouncing his name in French, says “it sounds kind of sexy actually.”

P.K. Subban, having endeared much of Canada with his generous donation to the Montreal Children’s Hospital earlier this year, is now rubbing shoulders with PM Justin Trudeau.

The star defenceman started a campaign dubbed #CanadaCarols, an effort across social media to bring holiday cheer to patients at Montreal Children’s Hospital and other Canadian pediatric hospitals, and challenged Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to sing along.

Friday, the PM responded in kind.

Subban has been busy this week, also asking other Canadian notables such as Justin Bieber, talk show host Julie Snyder and Canadian rock band Arkells to join the cause.

Between this and being the subject of both an in-depth profile and the latest Road to the Winter Classic reality show, it’s been a great year for the hockey-player-turned-philanthropist.
