Predators’ Filip Forsberg suspended 3 games for interference

Kevin Fiala scored twice as the Nashville Predators won a physical contests against the New York Rangers 5-2.

The NHL’s department of player safety has suspended Nashville Predators forward Filip Forsberg three games for interference for his hit on New York Rangers forward Jimmy Vesey.

The incident occurred midway through the second period when Forsberg skated behind the net and collided with Vesey, who had already moved the puck. Forsberg was not assessed a penalty on the play.

Vesey was left bloodied after taking the hit.

Forsberg is second on the Predators in goals (16) and points (38).
