Predators place Josi (upper-body), Wilson (lower-body) on IR

Anton Blidh would receive a game misconduct for this hit on Roman Josi.

The Nashville Predators have placed defenceman Roman Josi and forward Colin Wilson on injured reserve, the team announced on Friday.

Josi will be sidelined for at least a week with an upper-body injury after taking a hit to the head from Anton Blidh of the Boston Bruins during Thursday’s game.

Blidh was assessed a five-minute major on the play and was ejected from the game.

In 41 games this season, Josi, 26, leads all Predators’ blue-liners with 22 points (five goals and 17 assists).

Wilson, meanwhile, hasn’t played since Jan. 6 with a lower-body injury, missing the Predators’ last three games.

The 27-year-old has 17 points (six goals, 11 assists) in 38 games this season.

The injuries keep racking up in Nashville, as they’re already without defeneceman P.K. Subban and forward James Neal, both of whom are sidelined with upper-body injuries.
