Predators’ Watson to have hearing for hit on Avalanche’s Toninato

Austin Watson received a 5 minute major and a game misconduct after hitting Dominic Toninato against the boards. Toninato was slow to get up and forced to leave.

The NHL Department of Player Safety will be speaking to Nashville PredatorsAustin Watson about his hit on Colorado Avalanche‘s Dominic Toninato.

The league announced Sunday that Watson will be given a hearing before determining a possible suspension or fine.

Watson was issued a boarding major and game misconduct at 11:37 of the first period for the hit (see above) on Saturday. The Predators beat the Avalanche 5-2.
