The New York Rangers have agreed to terms with forward Lias Andersson on a three-year, entry-level contract.

New York selected Andersson seventh overall in last month’s NHL Draft. The 18-year-old appeared in 42 games with HV71 of the Swedish Hockey League this past season, registering nine goals and 10 assists.

Internationally, the native of Sweden has skated for his country at several tournaments. Most recently, Andersson registered three goals and posted a plus-two rating in seven games for Sweden at the 2017 world junior hockey championship.
