Red Wings sign forward Turner Elson to one-year contract

The Detroit Red Wings agreed to a one-year contract with centre Turner Elson.

The 24-year-old has played in one game in the NHL for the Calgary Flames where he picked up one assist.

Elson has played four seasons in the American Hockey League where he recorded 66 points and 144 penalty minutes.
