Columbus Blue Jackets forward Brandon Dubinsky has a fractured orbital bone around his left eye and will miss 6-8 weeks, the team announced on Tuesday.
Blue Jackets general manager Jarmo Kekalainen says the injury has not affected Dubinsky’s vision.
Dubinsky appeared to suffer the injury on the first punch of a short-lived fight with Zack Kassian during Columbus’s 7-2 loss to the Edmonton Oilers on Tuesday night. Watch the video of the incident at the top of the page.
The 31-year-old has three goals and 12 points for the Blue Jackets in 31 games this season.
