If the Boston Bruins decide to make a bold move and free up some cap space by moving a veteran, Dennis Seidenberg might be willing to waive his no-trade clause.

According to Bruins beat reporter Joe Haggerty of Comcast Sportsnet, Seidenberg said he would be open to a trade should the Bruins wish to deal him.

Seidenberg has been with the Bruins since the team acquired him from the Florida Panthers in March 2010. The 33-year-old has an annual $4-million salary cap hit and three years remaining on his contract. The Schwenningen, Germany native has 10 points in 57 games this season and is second only to Zdeno Chara in terms of ice-time leaders on the Bruins.

Earlier this week, Sportsnet’s Nick Kypreos reported the Bruins are open to moving Seidenberg and fellow veteran Loui Eriksson.
