The Calgary Flames and centre Matt Stajan have agreed on a four-year contract extension.

In 41 games this season, the 30-year-old has seven goals, 10 assists, 36 penalty minutes and a minus-18 rating, while averaging 18:27 of ice-time per game.

Stajan was acquired by the Flames in January 2010, along with Niklas Hagman, Ian White and Jamal Mayers, as part of the deal that sent Dion Phaneuf, Fredrik Sjostrom and Keith Aulie to the Toronto Maple Leafs.
