Report: Ducks’ Lovejoy breaks hand in fight

Fights can have consequenes and Anaheim Ducks defenceman Ben Lovejoy was a victim of that Sunday night.

According to the NHL Network’s Kevin Weekes, Lovejoy will be sidelined with a broken hand after being involved in a third-period fight with San Jose Sharks forward Joe Pavelski.

Kevin Weekes on Twitter: “Tough news for @AnaheimDucks Lovejoy will be out for an extended period after breaking his hand in a fight tonight.”

Lovejoy has one assist in nine games so far this season, posting a rating of plus-two.

It is not clear as to how long Lovejoy will be sidelined.
