Montreal Canadiens defenceman Alexei Emelin won’t face any supplemental discipline for his hit on Dallas Stars forward Jason Spezza, according to Richard Labbe of La Presse.
Emelin was assessed a five-minute boarding major and a game misconduct in the second period of the Canadiens’ 3-2 win Tuesday after cross-checking Spezza face-first into the boards behind the Montreal net. Spezza left the ice with blood dripping from his face and told reporters after the game that his nose was broken on the hit.
