Wild’s Niederreiter won’t have hearing for hit

Alexandre Burrows took an elbow to the head from Minnesota's Nino Niederreiter. Niederreiter was called for interference on the play, and Burrows returned to the game.

Minnesota Wild winger Nino Niederreiter will not have a hearing for his open ice hit on Vancouver Canucks forward Alex Burrows.

Burrows was forced to leave Wednesday night’s game briefly after the hit.

Burrows, who has missed 33 games this season, left immediately for the dressing room while Niederreiter was given a two-minute minor for interference.

Burrows would later return to the game.
