Report: Reilly chooses to sign with Wild

The Hockey Central panel is getting real giddy for the 2015 NHL Draft, which could be one of the most intriguing of all time, with all kinds of trade activity.

Former Minnesota Golden Gophers defenceman Mike Reilly will be staying close to home.

According to reports, the coveted NCAA free agent will sign with the Minnesota Wild, spurning offers to join the Chicago Blackhawks, Los Angeles Kings and Pittsburgh Penguins.

Barring a total collapse of negotiations, Reilly is expected to ink a two-year, $1.85 million deal, Michael Russo of the Minnesota StarTribune reports.

Reilly scored six goals and 42 points in 39 games with the University of Minnesota last season.

The 21-year-old was drafted 98th overall by Columbus in the 2011 NHL Draft. The Blue Jackets failed to come to an agreement with him earlier this month.
