Leafs’ Robidas to have season-ending surgery

Peter Horachek confirmed to the media that defenceman Stephane Robidas is out for the rest of the season and will undergo shoulder surgery.

The news was first reported by David Alter of MapleLeafs.com and was later confirmed by interim head coach Peter Horachek.

The Maple Leafs scratched Robidas ahead of Saturday night’s loss to the St. Louis Blues. The 38-year-old has seven points (1 goal, 6 assists) in 52 games this season.
