The Boston Bruins aren’t wasting any time to get Rick Nash acclimated to their team.
Just a few hours after trading for the star winger Sunday morning, Nash will make his Boston debut early Sunday evening against the Buffalo Sabres.
Nash, who has 18 goals and 28 points in 60 games played with the New York Rangers this season, is expected to play on Boston’s second line.
In other Bruins news, top-line centre and potential Hart Trophy candidate Patrice Bergeron was a game-time decision for Sunday’s contest after he was seen leaving the ACC Saturday night in a walking boot. Bergeron took warmups on Sunday and went through his regular pre-game routine before he was ruled healthy enough to play Sunday.
Bergeron leads the Bruins with 27 goals and is just behind linemate Brad Marchand’s 57 points with 54 of his own.
