While Toronto hockey fans will have to wait and see if their city will be the next site of the Winter Classic, there appears to be some form of outdoor hockey set for the Big Smoke.
Speculation is running rampant after Instagram user @triptime1965 posted a photo of a sheet of ice, complete with boards, atop a building in downtown Toronto Monday.
The site of the rooftop rink is believed to be somewhere on Adelaide St. West in Toronto’s Financial District.
Social media speculation points toward the rink possibly being a part of Molson Canadian’s #AnythingForHockey campaign, which saw 11 people from across Canada take part in two days of shinny atop a mountain in Shamrock Lake near Invermere, British Columbia in March of 2015.
As if natural winter elements are not enough for Torontonians to look out for…keep your head up for falling pucks.
