If the first round was any indication, the 2016 Stanley Cup Playoffs will continue to be full of drama and excitement.

Here’s a look at some of the best head-to-head matchups for the second round…

EASTERN CONFERENCE

(A2) vs. (WC1)

The Tampa Bay Lightning take on the New York Islanders in Game 1 of the second round Wednesday, pitting two of the Stanley Cup Playoff goal scoring leaders against one another.

(M2) vs. (M1)

The matchup everyone was hoping for starts Thursday, as Sidney Crosby and Alex Ovechkin continute their rivalry in Round 2 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

WESTERN CONFERENCE

(C1) vs. (C2)

Fresh off eliminating the former champions, Vladimir Tarasenko and his Blues, take on Jamie Benn, the leader in playoff points after the first round, and his Stars in Round 2.
