Buffalo Sabres forward left Saturday’s game against the Washington Capitals with an apparent concussion.
The 31-year-old was hit in the head with Eric Fehr’s skate during the first period and he did not return.

“Any time it has to do with the head you worry all the time,” Sabres coach Ted Nolan told reporters in Washington. “There’s no such thing as a mild one or a little one. It is what it is. We’ll keep our fingers crossed and see what happens.”
McCormick had three assists and a pair of fighting majors in 20 games with the Sabres this season.
