Sabres’ Myers suspended 3 games for hit

NEW YORK — Buffalo Sabres defenceman Tyler Myers has been suspended three games by the NHL for boarding Montreal Canadiens forward Scott Gomez.

Myers was suspended Tuesday for an incident that happen during the third period of Buffalo’s 3-2 overtime win at home Monday night against Montreal.

A minor penalty for boarding was assessed on the play.

Myers will forfeit US$14,189.19 in salary.
