The San Jose Sharks have re-signed Marcus Sorensen to a two-year deal, with his salary yet to be announced.

The Swedish right-winger played in 19 NHL games last season, posting a goal and three assists. He also made his mark in the 2017 playoffs, registering a goal and an assist in six games against the Edmonton Oilers.

“In Marcus’ first year in North America, he quickly showed that he is a skilled player with the ability to contribute to the team’s success,” said Sharks assistant general manager Joe Will in a press release.

Sorensen, who was originally drafted by the Ottawa Senators in 2010, spent the majority of his time last season playing for the AHL’s San Jose Barracuda where he posted 34 points (17 goals and 17 assists) in 43 games.
