San Jose Sharks forward Ryane Clowe has been suspended pending the outcome of an in-person, supplementary discipline hearing Monday for an incident during Friday’s 2-1 loss to the Chicago Blackhawks.
At the end of the game, Clowe was assessed a minor for roughing and a game misconduct for leaving the players’ bench to start an altercation.

If the NHL determines he left the bench illegally, he will be assessed an automatic 10-game suspension without pay and his club will be fined $10,000. If he left the bench on a legal line change, he still is subject to supplemental discipline.
