Senators acquire Conor Allen in trade with Predators

The Ottawa Senators and Nashville Predators swapped defencemen in a trade Thursday.

The Senators acquired Conor Allen in exchange for Patrick Mullen.

Allen, 25, will be assigned to the Binghamton Senators of the American Hockey League. He totaled one goal and six points in 31 games with the Predators’ AHL affiliate, the Milwaukee Admirals.

Mullen, a 29-year-old blue-liner, scored one goal and 16 points in 36 games with Binghamton this season.
