Senators claim Gabriel Dumont off waivers from Tampa

The Ottawa Senators have claimed forward Gabriel Dumont off of waivers from the Tampa Bay Lightning.

The Senators announced the move on Twitter, and did a pretty good job detailing their newest addition in both of Canada’s official languages.

Dumont, 27, has three goals and four assists in 64 career NHL games with Tampa Bay and the Montreal Canadiens.

Dumont, âgé de 27 ans, a récolté trois buts et quatre aides en 64 matchs dans la LNH avec Tampa Bay et les Canadiens de Montréal.

The 5-10, 190-pound forward has played seven games with the Lightning this season.

Dumont will not play tonight and is expected to join the #Sens prior to Friday’s game in Columbus.

Dumont doesn’t have a point this year and has worn a letter for his AHL team in each of the past four seasons.

The Senators are in Washington to face the Capitals on Wednesday, but could have Dumont in the lineup against the Blue Jackets on Friday.
