Ottawa Senators forward Colin White will be out for the next six to eight weeks recovering from a broken left wrist, the team announced Tuesday.
White blocked a shot in the final minutes of Monday’s pre-season game against the Toronto Maple Leafs and immediately left the game after remaining on the ice for some time.
The 20-year-old underwent surgery Tuesday morning.
White was the first-round pick (21st overall) by the Senators in the 2015 draft.
