Ottawa Senators forward Milan Michalek left Tuesday’s game against the Philadelphia Flyers after he appeared to block a shot from Radko Gudas with his hand.
The injury occurred in the second period. The winger did not join the game for the third period, and the team announced he would not return.
Not long after Michalek’s injury, teammate Mika Zibanejad left the game when he took a high hit to the head — also from Gudas. The team kept him out of the rest of the game for “precautionary reasons.”
