Senators offer fans free tickets due to snowy weather

Watch this no-look pass from Jack Eichel that sets up Matt Moulson's first goal in 45 games.

It was a snowy day across Ontario on Tuesday and a record snowfall in Ottawa resulted in many fans not being able to attend the Senators-Sabres game at the Canadian Tire Centre.

Luckily, for those fans and even the ones that managed to get to the arena, the Senators hope to make amends.

The team released the following statement Tuesday night:

“Given the challenges Sens fans faced with today’s snowfall and in appreciation for the best fans in the NHL, the Senators will offer those fans who made it to Canadian Tire Centre for tonight’s game 50 per cent off for tickets to either this Thursday’s game versus the Carolina Hurricanes or the game on Tuesday, March 15, versus the Minnesota Wild. Those fans unable to make it to tonight’s game due to the weather will be offered a free ticket (of same price point) to the same games.”

More details will be communicated on Wednesday afternoon, according to the team.
