Stars’ Dan Hamhuis a healthy scratch Monday vs. Blues

Esa Lindell scored a goal and added an assist as the Dallas Stars defeated the Vancouver Canucks.

Dallas Stars defenceman Dan Hamhuis was a healthy scratch again on Monday as the Stars visited the St. Louis Blues.

This marks the second time this season that Hamhuis has been scratched, with the first time coming on Oct. 29 against the Minnesota Wild.

Throughout his 14-year career, the 2014 Olympic gold medalist had only been a healthy scratch two other times, both coming in 2003-04 as a rookie with the Nashville Predators.

24-year-old Swedish defenceman Patrik Nemeth drew into the lineup in Hamhuis’ spot.

The 33-year-old signed a two-year, $7.5 million deal with the Stars in the off-season and has five assists in 21 games this season.
