This isn’t the Dallas Stars‘ scoreboard’s first rodeo.
The Stars have gotten into the habit of trolling their visiting hockey teams by using their scoreboard and sound system. On Oct. 30, for example, they only played Nickleback songs during the second intermission of a Stars-Canucks game.
On Tuesday, they struck a nerve with Toronto Blue Jays fans:
During game five of the 2015 ALDS, a controversial call by the umpires prompted Jays fans to litter the Rogers Centre field with garbage. Most notably, a mother and her young infant were nearly hit with a flying beer can – as were many others.
As the Stars noted in their scoreboard message, “all the babies in the crowd” signed off on the message of safety and cleanliness.
In response, the Toronto Maple Leafs account fired back:
