Stewart agrees to two-year contract with Blues

Chris Stewart will be back with the St. Louis Blues after the two parties avoided arbitration by agreeing to a new contract on Friday.

The right winger and the Blues were scheduled to take part in an arbitration meeting on Monday, however both sides were able to come together on a two-year contract, reportedly worth $8.3 million.

The Blues acquired the native of Toronto, Ont., in a trade from the Colorado Avalanche during the 2010-11 campaign, when he combined to play in 62 games for the two teams and record 53 points, including a career-tying 28 goals.
