Strombo to assist with Canucks for Kids telethon

The Vancouver Canucks are set to hold their 25th annual Canucks for Kids Fund Telethon, presented by Chevrolet, on Tuesday, March 24th with the Winnipeg Jets visiting Rogers Arena.

This year’s telethon will take place in front of a national television audience on Sportsnet with Hockey Night in Canada host George Stroumboulopoulos and Scott Oake of Sportsnet.

The broadcast kicks off at 6:45 PM on Sportsnet and will run until 10:00 PM.

Volunteers will be taking donations via phone at 1-85-KIDSFUND (1-855-437-3863) and through Canucks.com. Fans in attendance for the game between the Canucks and Jets can donate on the concourse at various booths throughout the building.

The Canucks for Kids Fund (CFKF) is in its 29th year of giving back to children’s charities in British Columbia and has given more than $46 million in that span. During the 2013.14 season, the Canucks for Kids Fund donated more than $3.36 million. The Canucks for Kids Fund is dedicated to supporting children’s charities in our province and has played a key role in creating and sustaining Canucks Autism Network, Canuck Place Children’s Hospice, Canucks Family Education Centre, Canucks Centre for BC Hockey and a number of educational programs.
