The Toronto Maple Leafs are the most expensive team to see in person, according to a study posted on Business Insider.
The study, using data from the Adult Cost Index (ACI) determined the cost for a fan to purchase an average ticket, one beer, one soft drink, one hot dog, plus half the cost of parking at the arena for each NHL team.
The Leafs ranked at the top of the list with a total cost of $137.47, which actually decreased from last season ($151.41). The Vancouver Canucks ($114.32) and Winnipeg Jets ($103.59) both ranked in the top six. The figures are listed in US dollars.
According to the study, the least expensive teams to see are the Florida Panthers ($62.89) and Dallas Stars ($61.28), so plan your hockey road trips accordingly.
