Subban receives interesting celebration cake

Montreal Canadiens defenceman P.K. Subban is in the final season of his two-year, $5.75 million contract.

Norris Trophy winner P.K. Subban was out celebrating with friends on Saturday night in interesting fashion.

Subban was gifted with an ‘award-winning’ cake that replicated him in his hockey gear holding up the Norris Trophy.

The Montreal Canadiens defenceman bettered fellow nominees Kris Letang of the Pittsburgh Penguins and Ryan Suter of the Minnesota Wild. All three players were Norris Trophy finalists for the first time.

Subban topped NHL defencemen in scoring with 38 points (11 goals, 27 assists) in 42 games this season. The Toronto native led all blue-liners in power-play scoring with 26 points (7-19) and ranked second on the Canadiens in points, plus-minus (plus-12) and average ice time per game (23:14).
