Edmonton Oilers forward Taylor Hall was suspended two games by the National Hockey League Department of Player Safety Friday afternoon for a kneeing incident that occurred Thursday during the Oilers’ 3-1 loss to the Minnesota Wild.
Hall suspended for 2 games.

Hall was assessed a five-minute major and a game misconduct when he kneed Minnesota’s Cal Clutterbuck in open ice at 17:27 of the third period. Clutterbuck required help off the ice and did not return to the game.

Wild coach Mike Yeo told reporters Friday that Clutterbuck suffered a thigh contusion and would miss Saturday’s game versus the Calgary Flames.
Clutterbuck is on crutches, having trouble putting weight in leg. He sustained 2 of these last year on Ryan Whitney knee, Brent Burns check

The 21-year-old Hall has 16 points and 23 penalty minutes in 16 games this season.
