Tokarski stops 40 shots as Bulldogs nip Crunch

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Winger Alex Belzile scored the game’s only goal, and his first of the season, at 10:10 of third period, in the Hamilton Bulldogs 1-0 victory over the Eastern Conference leading Syracuse Crunch in AHL action Friday.

Dustin Tokarski made 40 saves for his sixth shutout of the season, and third with Hamilton (25-31-6).

Tokarski, who started the season with Syracuse (38-18-8), improved to 5-4-0 with a 1.54 goals against average and three shutouts in 10 games as a Bulldog.

Riku Helenius made 25 saves for the Crunch.

Hamilton was 0 for 3 on the power play, and Syracuse was 0 for 4.
