The 35-year-old native of the Czech Republic was 25-17-2 last season with a 2.51 goals-against-average, a .916 save percentage and four shutouts in 48 games with the Capitals.
Vokoun’s current salary cap hit $1.5 million but is expected to get a raise if he tests free agency. He is scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent on July 1.
