It’s always a blast coming to Toronto for a Saturday night game, and as I entered the Air Canada Centre today I started to think about some memorable moments the Canucks have had in this building since I started covering the team in 2001-02. Here are my top three memories of great moments the Canucks have had in Toronto since ’01.
TOP LINE TERRORIZES LEAFS, JANUARY 30, 2010
The twins and Alex Burrows combine for five goals, including four in the third period to turn a 3-0 deficit into a 5-3 victory.
Highlights also include a pretty good punch in the fact contest between Hordichuk and Orr. Burrows gets in not one but two Bourndon tributes as well.

RAYCROFT REVELS IN VICTORY AT ACC, January 30, 2010
Same game as above, but worth another look as Andrew Raycroft has a blast beating the club that bought out his contract. Raycroft replaced Roberto Luongo in this game after Lu gave up three first period goals.
SUNDIN SCORES IN RETURN TO TORONTO, FEBRUARY 21, 2009
It was a super emotional night for the former Leafs captain who got a rousing ovation from the ACC faithful and nearly broke down on the bench. Then he scored the shootout winner and even some Leafs fans couldn’t help but smile. Love that Kyle Wellwood makes an appearance in the celebration.
Some honourable mentions:
DEC 17, 2011 – Jannik Hansen sick insurance goal on a BREAKAWAY!
FEBRUARY 21, 2009 – The ridiculous deflection
Alex Burrows ridiculous deflection goal to tie game in the third period which would allow Sundin to be the hero.
JANUARY 13, 2007 – Power play goes nuts
Canucks power play goes bonkers, scoring Vancouver’s first five goals in a 6-1 rout. Here’s a PPG goal the twins were involved in but didn’t score. Remember who was the other forward on the PP unit?
