Leafs call up Holzer, Booth from the Marlies

Leafs forward David Booth has enjoyed watching his teammates this season, but now that he's healthy, it's time for him to suit up alongside them.

TORONTO — The Toronto Maple Leafs recalled defenceman Korbinian Holzer and left-winger David Booth from their American Hockey League affiliate on Monday.

Holzer has two assists and 10 penalty minutes in nine regular-season games with the Toronto Marlies this season. The 26-year-old Munich native was recalled by the Leafs earlier this season but has yet to play in a game.

Booth, a 30-year-old Detroit native, hasn’t played for the Leafs since breaking his foot after blocking a shot in a pre-season game. He rejoins the NHL club after a two-game conditioning stint with the Marlies.

Toronto’s next game is at Pittsburgh on Wednesday night.
