Sportsnet offers 10 hours of trade deadline

TORONTO — Rogers Sportsnet will provide 10 hours of live coverage of Monday’s NHL trade deadline with “Hockeycentral Deadline 2011,” which will include all the breaking trades, reaction from players, analysis and features.

The coverage will start at 8 a.m. ET / 5 a.m. PT on the Sportsnet East, Ontario, West and Pacific channels.

Fans unable to catch the live broadcast on television can access a live stream of Hockeycentral Deadline 2011 on to sportsnet.ca, accompanied with Facebook and Twitter updates and an interactive trade tracker on the website. In addition, iPad owners can also access the Hockeycentral iPad App for all the latest trades.

Followers on sportsnet.ca will also be able to participate in a live chat with various Hockeycentral analysts during every hour throughout the broadcast.

Hockeycentral analyst Nick Kypreos headlines the team breaking all the latest trades including Toronto Star columnist Damien Cox, sportsnet.ca columnists Mike Brophy and Mark Spector, Hockeycentral analyst John Shannon and Sun Media columnist Bruce Garrioch with host RJ Broadhead. In addition, the Vancouver Canucks trade activity will be covered by Hockeycentral analysts John Garrett and Garry Valk with host Don Taylor from Sportsnet’s Pacific studio.

Prime Time Sports host Bob McCown will bring his Roundtable of Cox and Stephen Brunt to the Sportsnet studio to discuss trades with numerous special guests during the television broadcast.

Former NHLers Marty McSorley, Brad May along with Ottawa Senators analyst Denis Potvin will join Hockeycentral analysts Doug MacLean, Gord Stellick and host Daren Millard on the main desk to break down all trades during the day. MacLean and Stellick will also sit-in with former Tampa Bay Lightning GM Brian Lawton in a panel to discuss deals from a general manager’s perspective with host Rob Faulds.

Connected reporters will have all-day coverage and reaction from all six Canadian NHL teams including Arash Madani and Tony Ambrogio on the Toronto Maple Leafs, Ian Mendes on the Senators, Louis Jean on the Montreal Canadiens and Barry Davis with the team in Atlanta, Gene Principe on the Edmonton Oilers and Ryan Leslie on the Calgary Flames with Roger Millions reporting with the team in St. Louis.
