Who says the @LAKings have cornered the market on Twitter sass when it comes to NHL franchises?
After the Dallas Cowboys tweeted out a smart-aleck blow at the NHL’s ended lockout, the Stars responded with pictorial haymaker.
“Similarly in the category of nobody-cares…the NHL is back!” the NFL team, which failed to qualify for a wild-card spot, tweeted (and has since deleted).
The Stars retorted with a quick Mike Modano-Tony Romo comparison:
At least our #9 got the job done….. RT:” @dallascowboys Similarly in the category of nobody-cares…the NHL is back!” twitter.com/DallasStars/st…

The snippy exchange was quickly smoothed over as the Cowboys, presumably red-faced, apologized:
@dallasstars our sincere apologies for the inappropriate tweet posted accidentally to our account. Good luck this season.

Today’s tweet war proves:People in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones. Especially when those stones will be intercepted & returned for a TD
