Ratchuk scores Datsyuk-like shootout goal

HC Orli Znojmo goalie Filip Landsman should have stayed at home.

Former Philadelphia Flyers second-round pick Mike Ratchuk channeled his inner Pavel Datsyuk and deked Landsman out of his pads to give Olimpija Ljubljana the 3-2 shootout win in Austria’s Erste Bank Eishockey Liga.

Ratchuk tweeted that the goal was a tribute to New York Islanders forward Kyle Okposo.

Despite his tributes, the former Michigan State Spartan clearly took a page from the book of Russian dangle-smith Pavel Datsyuk, who pulled off the same move on Tomas Vokoun in March 2006.
