Buffalo Sabres forward Tyler Ennis has signed with the SC Langnau Tigers in Switzerland, the club announced on its website.

Ennis, who re-signed with the Sabres for two years before the NHL locked out its players, joined the Swiss team along with Minnesota Wild defenceman Jared Spurgeon, who grew up with Ennis in Edmonton.

In other moves, Montreal Canadiens defenceman Tomas Kaberle signed with Kladno in the Czech Republic. Kaberle started his career with the franchise and played for Kladno during the 2004-05 lockout. Kladno is owned by NHL forward Jaromir Jagr, who will also play for the club during the lockout.

Elsewhere, Jets goaltender Ondrej Pavelec signed with Bili Tygri Liberec (Czech), Coyotes defenceman Rostislav Klesla joined HC Trinec (Czech) and Blue Jackets goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky inked with SKA St. Petersburg (KHL).

Detroit Red Wings defenceman Jakub Kindl announced on Twitter that he’s heading to Pardubice in the Czech Republic.
