The Vancouver Canucks re-assigned forward Andrew Ebbett to the Chicago Wolves of the American Hockey League, the team’s general manager Mike Gillis announced Tuesday.

Ebbett was pointless in five games with the Canucks this season, recording two penalty minutes and averaging just under 12 minutes of ice time per game. In 29 games with the Wolves this season, Ebbett has seven goals and 21 points.

On Monday, the Canucks placed Ebbett on waivers to clear a roster spot for the impending return of winger David Booth.

Ebbett has played in 168 career NHL games over the span of five seasons with the Anaheim Ducks, Chicago Blackhawks, Minnesota Wild, Phoenix Coyotes and Canucks, collecting 58 points and 46 penalty minutes.
