Philadelphia Flyers forward Blair Jones might be getting a call from the NHL’s disciplinary department on Wednesday.
Midway through the third period of Philadelphia’s 4-0 loss to the Chicago Blackhawks Tuesday night, Jones drilled Chicago Blackhawks forward Ben Smith with a shot to the head. It appeared that Jones left his feet on the hit.
Smith was trying to make a play in the corner and as soon as he turned around, he was instantly hit by Jones, who was received a minor penalty for charging on the play.
Smith did not suffer an injury and stayed in the game.
