Minnesota Wild defenceman Jonas Brodin is expected to miss at least a month with a fractured finger.
Brodin sustained the injured during Tuesday’s 4-3 loss to the New Jersey Devils. He was on the ice for a total of 9:17 before leaving the game in the second period.
The injury comes at an inopportune time for the 23-year-old defenceman, who is in the midst of a career year. His 16 points (three goals, 13 assists) put him on pace to smash his career high of 19 points (eight goals, 11 assists) set in 2013-14.
Brodin is expected to miss at least 13 games.
