ST. PAUL, Minn. -- The Wild have acquired centre Kyle Brodziak from the Edmonton Oilers in exchange for Minnesota's fourth- and fifth-round picks in this year's draft.
Minnesota Wild general manager Chuck Fletcher says Minnesota also got Edmonton's sixth-round pick in the deal announced Saturday.
The 25-year-old Brodziak recorded 27 points in 79 games for the Oilers last season. The six-foot-two Alberta native recorded career-highs with 14 goals and 17 assists in 80 games with Edmonton in the 2007-08 season.
On Friday night, Fletcher used the Wild's first pick to take defenceman Nick Leddy of Eden Prairie at No. 16. Leddy was Mr. Hockey in Minnesota last season.
